The Mysterious Wanderer
Almas stopped at the oasis to fill his water skins and rest in the shade. It provided little relief from the high Athanian sun. The Curse made others wary and mostly hostile. He tended to avoid direct contact with them as much as he could. It was a lonely existence. He was living the sins of his forbearers, and for that, he despised them.
Enter, The Fool
The Fool. At times, he was beckoned, but mostly he was tolerated. The Sorcerer King’s highest Templars used him as a distraction when nobles would visit court. A distracted and entertained noble is easier to fleece. Whether it was juggling knives, swallowing swords, spitting and eating fire, or some other foolish endeavor, The Fool was always ready to perform.
